Music

Peter had a deep love for music, especially the Beatles, the Rolling Stones, Tom Petty and R.E.M., and so many other rock and roll bands that became the soundtrack to his life. Music brought him joy, and he loved not only listening to it, but being part of it himself. He played guitar and was always learning, with a music book never far from his side. There was something special about seeing Peter with his guitar, working through a song and enjoying the simple pleasure of making music. His love for music was a part of who he was, and the songs he loved will always bring back memories of him.

Food
Pete loved tacos. Whether it was hamburger or chicken, he knew exactly how he liked them—lettuce, cheese, sour cream, tomatoes, and plenty of chunky salsa. Yum! It was his favorite food, and he never seemed to get tired of them. Something as simple as a good taco was enough to make Pete happy, and those little everyday things are among the memories of him that will always bring a smile.

Mannerisms
Pete Albushies was the kind of person who made the world lighter just by walking into the room. He loved to smile, to laugh, to tell a joke, and — without fail — to offer you a piece of chewing gum. It’s the first thing people remember when they think of Pete, and it’s the kind of small kindness that says everything about who he was.
